In-class instruction takes place on designated Sundays at 9:10 AM at the Holy Angels Sacred Heart School in Avenue, Maryland. Program is a joint venture between Sacred Heart Parish and Holy Angels Parish in Avenue.

Parish faith formation programs work with parents to nourish and build upon the life of faith lived at home. In the Archdiocese of Washington, the framework for formal catechesis is established in the Forming Disciples for the New Evangelization Curriculum guide. This curriculum presents the key elements of Catholic life using six standards, or areas of learning – knowledge of the faith (creed and scripture), liturgy and sacraments, morality, prayer, life in the Christian community, and evangelization/apostolic life.
