WARM PROGRAM:  Our parish’s Hosting Week is Sunday, January 21 thru Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Holy Angels Church Hall. WARM (Wrapping Arms ‘Round Many) is an interfaith non-profit organization that provides safe and welcoming shelter during the nights of the coldest months of the year (November – March) to men and women impacted by homelessness.  Faith communities involved with WARM partner with local social and human service organizations to open their doors and offer a safe place to sleep, a sense of community and hot meals for up to 25 homeless guests.  All guests are assessed before being able to participate in WARM.  WARM exists because there are more men and women
impacted by homelessness in St. Mary’s County than our shelters can serve.  Volunteer to serve the Lord!
Host sites are staffed entirely by volunteers and host one week a season. Volunteers needed are:
•       66 monitoring volunteers (33 men and 33 women – at least 18 years old) Training to be provided
•       Volunteers to provide and assist with 14 meals (breakfasts, dinners & desserts) for ~35 people
•        At least 6 volunteers to c some linens and repack at end of hosting week
•       15 volunteers to setup and breakdown the hall
•       Volunteers, of all ages, are needed to interact with guests and coordinate group activities from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. each
evening.
